VITAMIN C INFUSION 10% & 20%
  1. What kind of Vitamin C is in your infusion products?  The Vitamin C Infusion Cream has I-ascorbate which is the physiologic active form of Vitamin C.  The esterified form of Vitamin C is okay orally, but to get the most beneficial effect topically we use I-ascorbate.
  2. I have been using prescriptive Retin A for approx 10 years.  Are there any problems using Vitamin C Infusion Cream along with the Retin A?  It is okay to use Retin A and Vitamin C Infusion Cream concurrently, as each cream has a different mode of action in the skin.  Vitamin C Infusion Cream is typically used at night, because if used in the AM, some patients complain make-up does not go on as elegantly over the Vitamin C Cream.  We suggest Retin A applied earlier in the evening and Vitamin C Infusion Cream applied at bedtime.

  5. The 10% is too strong on my skin.  Like using any new drug or product your system will adapt to it.  There is a high potency of Vitamin C.  It is the highest over the counter product of Vitamin C available.  If your skin continues to be sensitive then use the 2% eye cream instead.  The 2% eye cream uses a 2% potency.

  7. The product turns brown - can I still use?  The product is still good but it is best to buy another jar.  Because the potency of Vitamin C diminishes.  It is best when Vitamin C is a fresh active product.  You can use it for the back of your hands.
  8. How do you use it?  You cleanse your face.  Let the pores close.  Wait 10 minutes or splash with cold water and then apply.  You can also use the eye cream as a barrier.  You don't want to use it close to your eyes because of its potency.

  1. What is Tetrahexyidecyl Ascorbate?  How does it benefit the skin?  It is the most stable and effective form of Vitamin C and is able to penetrate the lipid barrier of the skin.  Tetrahexyidecyl Ascorbate is enzymatically converted into Ascorbic Acid in the skin reducing any chance of irritation.

  3. Why can't I just put my facial moisturizer around my eyes?  Do I need an eye cream?  Yes.  Typical facial moisturizers are formulated for the face and don't address the unique, delicate, thin tissue around the eyes.  Also, the eye area shows signs of aging more than any other area of the face and needs a more concentrated treatment.
